Building upgrades

Over the summer, our building has undergone major upgrades. Due to the age of the site, much of the infrastructure needed replacing, upgrading, and being brought in line with current regulations and standards. It was also an opportunity to add some new features, such as better glazing on the windows and a brise soleil solar shading.

This project was noticeable to those driving past, due to the large scaffolding that was erected to allow the work to take place. Inside, it was even more obvious, as hoarding was in place to protect the offices from the elements. However, this meant our staff were working without natural light for five months – the return of the windows was a welcome change. The outside of the building is now looking much better and is more functional.

We were also able to update our reception space, which has remain unchanged for over 30 years. The new space is almost unrecognisable! Gone is the giant, redundant reception desk and the wooden panelling from the 1980s, and in its place is a fresh, modern space in keeping with the other refurbished spaces around the building.
